Contributing
Firstly, thanks for coming and looking at this page. We need your help to make this site the best it can be.
This site is about encouraging people to pray for the government. As a UK site, we particularly mean the UK national Government, but also County Councils, District Councils, Parish Councils, but we also mean the European Union and the United Nations.
Here are the things that you can do to help us:
1. Sign Up
The very first thing we'd like you to do is to create a login to the site so that we can contact you from time to time.
2. Contribute Articles
We need to do three things with the site:
a. We need to motivate potential supporters to respond to the call of Scripture:
1 Timothy 2:1-2 (NIV) I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. Can you communicate this message effectively in writing?
b. We need to teach how to intercede.
Serious intercession requires significant time and practice. It is easier to become skilled if you get some instruction! Do you have expertise in this area? Could you write about it, both in general and about your specific experiences.
c. We need to identify areas to pray for and how to pray for them.
This is probably the hardest part for two reasons:
i. It needs to be continually refreshed as situations develop, so it needs people who are aware of the political situation, can identify the critical issues and express them clearly, and
ii. We need to avoid people's "pet projects" as these can overwhelm the site and because people may hold err... "novel" opinions.
So, our primary need is for writers who can help to produce articles that will help with this. Is this you? Would you like to try? Women writers are particularly encouraged as they are under-represented.
3. Miscellaneous Needs
Our technical guy (that's me!) isn't very good- if you can help with making the site prettier, function better, or be easier to find on search engines then please make yourself known to us.
Do you have editorial skills? Are you a mature, balanced Christian? Would you like to join the editorial team?
Can you create links to our site so that others can find us? We need high visibility!
Please get in touch if you can do any of these or if you have thought of anything we haven't!

People
We believe that God has called us to pray for the government, to get as many people as possible praying. Before any great move of God there is always a great revival of prayer.
The prayer may last 12 months or 10 years or until Jesus returns!
We have linked in with the prayer forum of British Isles and Ireland, and although we have the backing of our church New Life at Harrogate, this is a call to all Christians with people from Nottingham and South Wales coming on board.
We believe we are to pray in tongues, with groanings, and to pray scriptures over our Government. Many people do not agree that we should pray for the government at all- They would rather point the finger and tell them what a bad job they are doing but I disagree. The Lord has shown us that when thousands of people are praying, you will see many amazing things start to happen in our nation. We will not stop praying until we have major break through. We believe that what we are doing is of God and it is going to be very exciting when we see the result of our prayers.
God will have his way in our nation once again and we will be a part of it.
